Description

These baked honey sriracha salmon bites are easy to prep, don’t require any marinating time, and get roasted in the oven for hands-off, no mess cooking. Top with a two ingredient sauce of mayo and sriracha and serve with some rice and your favorite vegetable for a complete meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds salmon fillet, skin removed (see Note 1)
  • 23 green onions, chopped (see Note 2)
  • 3 tablespoons sriracha chili sauce
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Sriracha mayo, for serving (see Note 3)
  • Chopped green onions, for serving if desired

Instructions

  1. Prep. Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut salmon into 1 to 1-1/2 inch pieces. Set aside.
  2. Marinate. In a medium bowl, mix together green onions, sriracha, soy sauce, honey, olive oil, dried parsley, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.  Add salmon pieces and gently mix together until salmon pieces are evenly coated.
  3. Roast. Line a rimmed baking tray with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Spread the salmon out into a single layer on the baking tray allowing for some space between the pieces. Bake salmon for 10-15 minutes or until cooked through.
  4. Optional broil. Broil salmon for 3-5 minutes to lightly caramelize the glaze.
  5. Serve. Serve salmon bites drizzled with sriracha mayo and topped with chopped green onions.

Notes

  1. Ask the fishmonger where you buy your salmon to remove the skin for you for easier prep. You can also keep the skin on if you prefer.
  2. You’ll need about 1/2 cup of chopped green onions.
  3. Mix 1 part sriracha to 2 parts of mayonnaise. Add more sriracha if you want something spicier. Add more mayonnaise if you want something less spicy.
